Thoracic Surgery
Bioretec`s first product in the development pipeline is a fixation device for closing of sternotomy in cardiothoracic surgery.
Bioabsorbable sternotomy fixation device developed by Bioretec Ltd. is more flexible and elastic than metallic wires and bands and thus it will eliminate most of metallic implant related problems.
In addition, the bioabsorption of the device eliminates the risks of implant related long-term complications that can occur with metallic implants.
Spine Surgery
Bioretec`s spine-focus is in osteoconductive composites and novel biodegradable fixation devices.
The first products in the development pipeline are plates and fixation device for spinal osteosynthesis.
